What the project is

  • A collaborative, real-world project to design pre-departure digital training for medical volunteers working in Zambia.

  • Developed to support in-person training, the course prepares volunteers for cultural, ethical, and procedural challenges they may face.

  • Consists of a 6 section programme covering adaptability, cross-cultural communication, procedures, policies, ethics, and volunteer well-being.

  • Built using the ADDIE framework to ensure a structured, research-led development process.
