Mosaic crochet is a style of crochet that creates interesting colour patterns by working different colours of yarn down into previous rows to create a pattern. This is often preferred over tapestry crochet because you only work one colour per row, and you don’t have to deal with complicated switching of colours mid-row.
You can use any yarn you like for this pattern. And chose an appropriate hook size to suit the yarn. To create this Betty square I have used a light fingering weight yarn, 100% cotton with a 3 mm hook.
